Many people enjoy listening to TED talks on a wide variety of topics. The TED organization has launched a new initiative called Countdown. Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. The Countdown organization includes scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, urban planners, farmers, CEOs, investors, artists, government officials, and others to find the most effective, evidence-based ideas out there. Countdown is hosting a livestream seminar on YouTube at 12 p.m. ET on October 30 to discuss a realistic pathway to a net-zero future. The seminar is produced in collaboration with the UN Climate Conference COP26 and will be shown on TED’s YouTube channel. The Countdown webpage https://countdown.ted.com/ has information on climate change and what you can do, a place to sign up for an email newsletter, and a link to the livestream seminar. Although the webpage doesn’t say, I would assume the seminar will be available later on YouTube for those who cannot watch live.
